MakerBot Industrial 3D printers have been designed with professional innovators in mind. Whether you're looking for a printer that can generate parts quickly with incredible accuracy, or you're looking for a printer with the best-price-to-performance-ratio - there is a Makerbot printer for you.
Makerbot has sold over 100,000 desktop 3D printers worldwide and has released six generations of 3D printers. With the release of the MakerBot METHOD, MakerBot has made a significant contribution to the industrial market.
New! Carbon Fiber Printing with Makerbot METHOD!
Take your 3D printing to the next level with MakerBot’s new nylon carbon fiber capabilities.
Already have a METHOD printer?
Existing METHOD and METHOD X users can simply purchase and install a new extruder to take advantage of this technology – without having to purchase a new printer.
Need the whole setup?
Looking to purchase a MakerBot 3D printer? The METHOD line is a great option providing the material flexibility and advanced capabilities you need to produce incredible prototypes or end-use parts.
Why Nylon Carbon Fiber?
The new extruder makes it possible to print carbon fiber reinforced nylon and other composite parts ideal for structural applications and metal replacements parts. This technology provides incredible strength and accuracy using MakerBot’s industrial desktop platform with a:
Strength to weight ratio of 110 Mpa formidable tensile strength
Stiffness of 7600 Mpa tensile modulus for parts that hold their form with minimal flex
Heat resistance and deflection of up to 184° C.
METHOD
Print twice as fast as desktop 3D printers while providing dimensional accuracy and industrial 3D printer reliability.
Features
Ultra-Rigid Metal Frame Construction: A structurally-optimized metal frame runs the full length of the body to offset flexing. Less flexing means more consistent prints with better part accuracy and fewer failures.
Circulating Heated Chamber: Control the temperature and quality of every layer – not just the first. While heated build plates are effective at reducing warping, METHOD takes this further with full active heat immersion during the entire duration of the print.
Dual Performance Extruders: The Dual Performance Extruder system is built from the ground up to accelerate print times and provide dimensional accuracy across every part.
Dry-Sealed Material Bays: Dry-Sealed Material Bays form a near-perfect seal to keep material free of damaging humidity. A suite of built-in sensors provides that your material is stored in its optimal environment—a feature previously only available in industrial 3D printers.
MakerBot Materials for METHOD:
PRECISION MATERIALS: Extensively tested by MakerBot for the highest reliability and measurably accurate parts.
SPECIALTY MATERIALS: For users looking for special materials with advanced properties to push the limits of what’s possible.
Disolvable Support System: Superior surface finish and unrestricted geometric freedom are paramount to delivering high quality printed parts. MakerBot Water-Soluble PVA ensures fast and effortless support removal without compromising part design or dimensional accuracy.
MakerBot Water-Soluble PVA provides two key benefits:
A highly automated industrial printing system with seamless CAD integration.
Features
The MakerBot METHOD X includes all the same features as the original METHOD 3D printer plus:
New Material: Super strong ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) material, which can withstand up to 15°C higher temperatures, is up to 26% more rigid, and up to 12% stronger than modified ABS formulations used on other desktop 3D printers.
Addition Support Options: Create supports with the original water-soluble PVA materials or Stratasys SR-30 soluble supports that deliver exceptional dimensional accuracy and precision for complex and durable parts.
Increased Champer Temperature: Up to 100ºC
