From August 2-3, 2014, Team PTC will join more that 5,500 cyclists and 3,400 volunteers in riding 190 miles across Massachusetts as part of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC).

The PMC is an annual bike-a-thon that currently raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has raised $414 million for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund (www.jimmyfund.org). This year, PMC has pledged to raise $40 million for this cause, 100% of which will go directly to the Jimmy Fund.

For the past 10 years, 3 HTi has been a proud sponsor of the PTC team’s fundraising efforts with PMC. This year, the PTC team is riding for our Pedal Partner, Caroline “Calle” Cronk.

Calle was diagnosed with a rare, inoperable brain tumor in November 2012, and lost her battle on July 18, 2013. Since Calle’s diagnosis, her family has raised more than $800,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support an ambitious trial aimed at treating children with Calle’s diagnosis. We hope Calle’s story, which has been covered in the Boston Globe, on Facebook, and in local papers, will inspire you as it inspires us for the PTC team’s 13th Pan Mass Challenge.

To date, PTC has raised nearly $1,500,000 with support from corporate partners, employees, and individual sponsors. PTC’s goal this year is to raise over $150,000. Please consider sponsoring Team PTC by donating online through this eGift link.

Thank you for your generous support.
