Creo View (formerly ProductView) allows you to immediately realize the proven performance of PTC’s industry-leading visualization solutions today while putting you on the path to achieve break-through productivity gains with Creo.
Model-Based Design is a product development methodology that is revolutionizing the way companies design and manufacture their products. By reducing or eliminating 2D drawings, the Model-Based Design process can drive down development costs, reduce product development time cycles and improve product quality.
Creo View Model Design Check is an optional module providing an interactive tool which is specifically designed to enhance and improve the “Design Checker” role, a critical step in a model-centric product development process.
Replacing the difficult-to-manage pen and paper methods traditionally used for checking 2D Drawings with a robust solution based around the 3D model, Creo View Design Check provides a highly effective communications medium between engineering, manufacturing and other downstream contributors.
Coupled with Creo View MCAD, this module facilitates rapid verification of the design intent captured in the 3D model through the marking of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) by one or several design checkers, including the ability to approve, reject or question specific design elements – all by using the real-time 3D model as the single representation of the product. Throughout the process, the entire marking history is tracked and maintained with the ability to generate design check reports.
The Creo View Validate for Model-Based Design module helps Design Checkers confirm that all critical Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is present, consistent and meets standards.
Features & Benefits
- Speed design cycles with industry’s only 3D model based design checking
- Eliminate the time and effort required to create and verify 2D drawings
- Ensure critical Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is present
- Maintain electronic marking history of all design check cycles
- Lower the barrier to adoption of a Model-Based Design methodology
- Reduce the non-conformances that arise from inaccuracies in 2D Drawings
